2024 zit er al weer bijna op. Het was een uitstekend jaar voor de radiografische hobby. Het laatst half jaar hebben we niet meer zoveel gefilmd, maar desondanks hebben we nog genoeg mooie herinneringen op een rijtje gezet. Dus hierbij presenteren we ons jaaroverzicht van 2024. Geniet ervan!

As we encounter a lot of wonderful people on the events we visit, we hear lots of stories and we see a lot of interesting technology on our road trips, we started thinking. We crunched our brain and suddenly we came up with the idea to setup a second YouTube channel. Why, you say?

Well, Ray and I, we are interested in so much more than only radio controlled related stuff and we sometimes have to cut out more video footage than we want, because it does not tick our RC Playground niche box. But this stuff is certainly worth sharing with our audience. So, we had to find a solution to share all the stuff we have on video that is not related to radio control. 

From the beginning, when we started RC Playground, we always said to each other that our journey's together would be RC and beyond. The beyond stuff is now becoming so prevalent in our video library, that we decided to open our new YouTube channel: Ralf & Ray Go Astray

We are very glad to see someone on the same mission oversees as we are. RC Girl organized a hobby shop tour through Oregon, to promote the shops and the hobby. She is doing a series of videos on YouTube about it and we are thrilled to put it on our website! Enjoy the videos.

We encourage these kind of initiatives to promote the RC hobby and the small retailers with a passion for their business. BeyondRC went to see the RC car show and especially the vintage cars are becoming more rare and therefore it is beautiful to see the love and devotion that goes into these builds. 

The RC hobby brings a lot of social commitment and joy to a lot of people and you can really notice it every time you visit these events. 

And yes, sometimes you see the mayhem of flying cars on the tracks and the broken parts that come with it, but that is all part of the hobby!
