Een bezoek aan het Metropole Museum in Druten is zeer de moeite waard!

We waren nog niet eens in het museum toen er vlak langs onze parkeerplaats een oude 'neus' vrachtwagen langs kwam tuffen. Eentje met felle gele en rode kleuren. De sfeer was gelijk gezet. De etalage van de oude meubel boulevard was mooi versierd met klassieke oldtimers en stukjes nostalgie uit oude TV series.

Dit museum heeft niet alleen mooie sportwagens staan maar ook unieke auto's of ander voertuigen die in kleine aantallen ooit de fabriekshal hebben verlaten. Zo  ook bij de vrachtwagenhal waar we oude trucks van het voormalige bedrijf, of laten we zeggen: bedrijven van de oprichter van dit prachtige Metropole Museum.

Frans van Haren had vroeger diverse bedrijven in Druten die hij later goed had verkocht en zijn verzamelwoede van mooie auto's kreeg een plekje, ook in Druten. Excluton was het bedrijf dat uitgebreid op de vrachtwagens omscheven stond en ook In-en export hoorde daarbij. Zoals ook in de video omschreven, heeft het Metropole museum niet alleen unieke auto's, maar ook een kleine collectie brommers en motorfietsen voor de liefhebber.

We encourage these kind of initiatives to promote the RC hobby and the small retailers with a passion for their business. BeyondRC went to see the RC car show and especially the vintage cars are becoming more rare and therefore it is beautiful to see the love and devotion that goes into these builds. 

The RC hobby brings a lot of social commitment and joy to a lot of people and you can really notice it every time you visit these events. 

And yes, sometimes you see the mayhem of flying cars on the tracks and the broken parts that come with it, but that is all part of the hobby!
